Question How to start a blog website?

I am an account executive for web hosting and development. The web designer is of course responsible with the design while our programmer s, they’re the one doing the back end. But basically I want to know the entire plot of web development.

We simply buy our domains somewhere *which I don’t have any idea as to where my boss is getting it? First question is : do we really pay for this? Or are there domains which you can acquire for first year free?

Default How to start a blog website?

Is't possible that you can share some links available for free domains? We categorize usually those websites that we sell, we have the blog type, flash type, semi dynamic and dynamic ones.

However my confusion is between the cost of a semi dynamic and dynamic website. How much is the going rate for the website development right now?

I used to have my own blog tho. It was under xanga.com back in 2003. During that time they're offering an unlimited membership with extra benefits that was $100 I think.

A friend of mine was into blogging while i was just starting up my personal page. She really grabbed the $100 dollar promo from Xanga. Up to now she's still using it.

I was initially confused between Wordpress and Blogger. After doing lot of research i found that although Blogger is Google product, Wordpress self hosted blog is better. It is a better option if you are serious about long term blogging.

When creating a blog 'I would highly recommend really researching other peoples blogs. It's important to know what you want your blog to look and feel like. I guess this depends hugely on what your blog is for. If it is a business/ corporate blog then it is essential to smarten it up, keep it fresh and simple, for example. I found it really usefull looking at other blogs to get ides.

You are right robster

Actually I am a new member here, and I loved the topics and posts here about blogging, I am kind of new blogger too, and I could not agree more with you and some other members, using free hosted blogs like blogger and wordpress.com is good for startup, but for serious blogging, there is nothing better than having your self hosted blog, be it wordpress or typepad, its your choice, but the benefits are unmeasurable, total control over your content, and settings. You will be able to tweek almost everything to customize your blog site.

I have tried to write some tips on this on my blog, you can read them at
www.niftyeyeblog.com and give me a comment or a feedback on what I should do to improve my blog too.

Regards
Nifty.
